A *CHARM* ing Purse

When we took Mac to the airport last week, I got to stop in a new quilt shop. I found some cute charm packs of fabric. I couldn't find coordinating yardage made by the same designer. Thankfully, Collin was along and he picked out something that went beautifully none the less.

I've spent the past several evenings at the sewing machine, putting this little bag together using this pattern, and the charm pack, All You Need Is Love, by Deb Strain for Moda. I just love the cheeriness of it!

The aforementioned charm pack only contained 32 fabrics, and I needed 35. This calls for improvisation! I managed to come up with three fabrics from my stash that went perfectly with this collection. I don't think anyone would be able to pick out the three fabrics that didn't belong.

The inside features two roomy pockets and random quilting.
The outside is quilted along each square, and boasts an adorable envelope-style pocket.

Isn't she sweet?
It's available in my shoppe!

  7. Oh, I love it! I have a daughter who would adore it also!

I may have to buy this pattern. Would you say it is a relatively simple thing to make for an experienced seamstress?

  8. Mrs. Rabe,
Yes, I think an experienced seamstress could handle this with little to no difficulty. It's not a hard pattern, but is time consuming as there's lots of quilting involved.
