More Wrap Skirts

I had cut the fabric for Autumn's skirt out the previous week, but I had her sew it up yesterday.

This is such a great project for a beginner.

I cut mine out of fabric that I bought at the end of the season last summer. I stitched the entire thing in about an hour last night.

We both had new outfits for church today!

  1. Love the wrap skirts! I need to make some for the girls! Did you use a pattern or just wing it? Love your choice of fabrics too.

  2. Patricia,

I use the formula from the Sew What Skirts book for these. It's very simple.

  4. Aren't those just the most fun little skirts to make! I am working on a half circle skirt tonight for my mother who is coming down to visit tomorrow. Oh my goodness, a bit more complicated than the wrap let me tell ya! I also am tackling some stretchy, soft material that keeps sliding this way and that...I might be done by tomorrow. *laugh!*

    Yours are so pretty!

  7. After I finish my quilt, I definitely want to try my hand at a skirt. Your skirts are so beautiful! Would you recommend the Sew What Skirts Book for a beginner or do you have any other recommendations?
