These cookies are, hands down, our favorites. The recipe came from my dad's mom, though I don't ever recall her icing them. When my children were younger, I made them every month. Snowflakes, hearts, shamrocks, carrots and tulips, stars, etc. I hadn't made them for close to a year, and oh, how we've missed them!
