Rising Bread by the Fire
The house gets a bit chilly this time of year, making it difficult to get my bread to rise. Today I set up a small table near the fireplace and set my loaves to rise there. It did the trick!
Tracy, I was so glad to see you posted a little something. I miss your posts, but I know that you are busy. Your picture is wonderful. May you and yours have a blessed Christmastide.
Tracy, I have missed your posts and was overjoyed to see this when I checked in. I pray you and your family have a Blessed Christmas and safe and happy New Year. God Bless, Rebecca
Hi Mrs. K, thank you for your encouraging comments lately! I love hearing from you and Autumn and think about your family often. This is a good idea, though it doesn't quite get that cold here! love, Cait
That sounds lovely -- to let your bread rise by a fire! Here, we have our cold days, too. But, if anything messes with how well my yeast does, it's the humidity.
Tracy, I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you and came a'visitin'... I hope you'll be back to blogging again soon. You are much missed!
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy cinnamon rolls had trouble rising today...sadly I don't have a fireplace, but may need to think about the woodstove downstairs.
Hmmmm....
