A Busy Saturday

Autumn and I spent the day spring cleaning the dining room yesterday. It always feels so good to complete the room. I hope you enjoy the slide show below...

Verne and Collin mowed the yard, and worked in the garden. Abigail went back and forth between the house and the garden, and Mac worked at the restaurant.

After a hard day's work, we all enjoyed homemade pizza for supper, and celebrated family fun night at the bowling alley. A good time was had by all. We made ice cream sundaes and floats upon arriving back home. A very satisfying day it was!

Sounds like a wonderful day. That is so neat that you can work and play together. I remember those days. Now with two of ours gone and the other one sooooo old, it is a bit harder.

Your dining room is beautiful. I love the benches for seats. And I love the curtains. Red and yellow are such a great combination. We have the same color scheme in our house, but with yellow walls, green furniture, and red accents (inlucing one wall in the family room).

And again, your gave a wonderful slide show that has piqued my interest. You constantly challenge me to be better at this blogging thing.

I visited Abigail's blog. Do you mind that I do that, and leave her comments? I sent her a link to Alaina's blog too, or maybe I sent Alaina a link to hers. I can't remember. Anyway, I hope that is ok.

Autumn,
Sorry that I beat you, but it WAS fun!

Becky,
Thanks for your sweet comments. I thought the slide show was a bit funny today... like something you would see on a realtor's website if you were taking a virtual tour of a home...

The curtains actually have no red in them. It's more of a terra cotta, salmony color.

I love that you leave Abigail sweet comments. Thank you for visiting her. She is thrilled. She is truly doing this blog ALL by herself. I left her alone for a minute this afternoon, and she was uploading pictures to her post! I asked, "Where did you learn to do that?" I watched you!" she replied. She is 8 yrs old, so I was impressed! Third graders know so much... don't they?

That is a beautiful dining room, and I love those curtains. I think I remember that you made them?
It's fun working and playing together as a family, isn't it?
I hope you had a wonderful rest of the week-end, as well.
Alaina is really enjoying reading your girl's blogs!

Homemade pizza, bowling, sundaes and floats. yum. double yum. Gives me an idea.

btw...I'm still composing a response to your email. My mind is a little jumbled at the moment so it might take a few days more.

Blessings...
