Interviewed

Anna was interviewed by another blogger and I volunteered to have her interview me. Now you can volunteer to be interviewed by me (see below).

Here are her questions, and my answers:

What are you most passionate about in your life?
My family

In a quiet moment you get to yourself, what do you do?
Sleep, read, pray, blog.

What surprises you most about other people?
Lack of concern for others

Who has made the most impact on your life? Why?
This is a hard question. I could give so many different answers. Doesn't everyone that we meet shape us in some way? My parents, my grandma, my children? I have to go with three people here.

The first one is my former pastor, Mike Frangipane. He taught me more in four years than I have ever learned before. He was patient, and wise. I feel like he really taught me WHO God is.

The second one is my husband. He makes me feel so entirely loved all of the time. I know that he isn't perfect, but he really is Christlike. Yes, there are times when he gets frustrated with me, but he is so gentle, kind, and forgiving. I never doubt his love. He makes me want to be a better person.

The third is the Holy Spirit. Verne makes me want to be better, but it is the Holy Spirit who has changed my heart. I have in no way arrived or even come close to where I want to be in my Christian walk, but over the past year I can feel myself changing right before my own eyes. I'm changing so drastically that my children have commented. I have so far to go, but God is in control, and I am confident for the first time in my life that I am right where He wants me to be.

What is one thing you own that would be hard for you to give away?
My photographs.
Memories fail, and I love being able to look back on our life. I love seeing how my children have grown, how my grandmother hasn't changed in 20 years, how much more handsome my husband is today...

Share something that you hope to do one day.
When my children are a bit older, I'd like to do volunteer work at the Crisis Pregnancy Center. I'd love to talk to moms who need support and someone to share God's word with them. I also love elderly people, and the children and I have participated in a nursing home ministry. We would go weekly to a local nursing home and visit the residents for about two hours. We'd read, sing, hold their hands, give them hugs, brush their hair. They so looked forward to our visits each week. Now that my grandmother lives with us, we aren't presently doing this. Someday I want to get back to it.

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your weblog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

I loved reading this. Especially liked what you said about the Holy Spirit. Couldn't agree with you more. It is all HIS work we just have to be willing.

Hi Tracy. I enjoyed reading your answers.

Interestingly, just a couple of days ago I also thought of volunteering for a crisis pregnancy center. I'd really love to do that once we've moved and I have more spare time. It's incredibly importatnt work!!

And if you would like to interview me, I'm in. :)

Tracy, thanks for your encouragement on our Abby being so sick. Everyone has been so sweet, tring to make such a hard time easier. Nice to know we are not alone in our love for our pets.

I enjoyed reading this post. I'll answer questions if you want to give me some. Yikes, what have I gotten myself into?
