National Apron Day Contest, and the Winner IS...

Carol said...

Oh, I'm so excited. I could actually win an apron. Then I will have how many in my collection? Hmmmm, let's see....

ONE!

Apronless with fingers crossed.

Yes, Carol is the winner of a handmade apron. Carol, I need to know your favorite color, and your waist measurement. (I have comment moderation, and that information will NOT be posted!) Congratulations! I can't wait to get started making your FIRST apron!

Congratulations Carol!!!

Tracy, I like the floral apron and I love the one you wear to hang out clothes. I don't know why I've never thought to fill my apron pockets with clothes pins. I will from now on! Much easier than having to carry out the clothes pin bag with a heavy basket full of wet clothes!

I posted my favorite apron today. Stop by when you can. :-)

Congratulations Carol!!

I love the apron with the clothespins embroidered on it - I had to click on the pic to see it! Did you ever see the clothespin bags that look like clothing? There are some local Amish that make and sell them - and this year I am getting myself one!!

Does Verne grill? I thought maybe he could wear the Steeler apron while grilling!! ;-)

Congrat's Carol.

I love all your aprons. Derek would like your Steelers apron.

Please stop by my site again.
I posted some poems Derek wrote me for Mothers Day!
I also took pictures of my (5) aprons. I will post that a little later today.

Tracy, you look quite professional in your clean white apron, and the clothespin apron is adorable!

Congrats to Carol! Now she can join the ranks of us apron wearers! (was that correct English, teacher?) I hope you post a picture of it when you finish, Tracy!
I like all your aprons, too. They are each unique, but my favorite would have to be the clothespin one. My great aunt used to do the same thing. So convenient when hanging out wash!
Thanks for the chance to win!

Cute aprons! That is so nice of you to make one for Carol. My grandma is 83, too! I'm wearing her apron on my blog today!

I can't wait to watch you start sewing!!!!! I wonder though, will it be as cute as the apron you made for me?!?! =)

How fun! I have yet to make my first apron (I have yet to sew my first of most things as I am a novice)but that is on "to do" list for this summer. Cute ideas.

Perhaps I'll make my husband a Viking one. Can't embroider, so perhaps I can find a patch and sew it on.

Congrats to Carol. I, too, am an apronless woman.

Hmm... I don't have an apron now that you've said something. I just might have to get one :o)

Congrats Carol!

I think it is so neat that Carol won, she needs an apron!!!

I like the one with the flower appliques. It is just too cute!

I love your aprons, Tracy. I also visited Autumn's blog today and saw her picture in an apron you made for her - that one was super cute as well!

I'm embarassed to post pictures of me wearing aprons. They are, unfortunately, full of stains, and those are hard to remove...

Yea for Carol! You look cute in your aprons!!

Carol said...

Oh my. I'm speechless!

But no longer apronless. Thank you! (Sending measurements your way.)

I was so excited, I forgot my favorite color. Uh...sand or taupe or something neutral? Or the green one in the image for the post where you announce the contest? I'm good with whatever.

Okay. Going to calm down now.

Very nice aprons! And thanks for the idea of a clothespin apron--I'm always struggling with the little Crown Royal bag I use for my clothespins. I hang my wash out almost all year, so an apron with big pockets will come in handy for sure.

XO,
Jill

Hi Tracy... I am so glad to be back!
I just had a hard time trying to comment to my blogspot friends and Xanga has really changed since I have been there....
I have missed Blogspot and the wonderful people here!

Tracy, it is not too late to join the fun at "Tales from the Scales". Come on along!

BTW, your aprons are great. I read the meme for aprons but did not do it because my one and only apron is an old Starbucks green one from my son who used to work there. I love it because it covers my clothes. Really. I am nothing if not entirely practical.

I rarely wear it. I put it on as soon as I realize that i have spilled something on myself. And of course by then it is too late. Sigh.

Anyway, it was fun to read about.
