Weekend Scenes

Randi has a Get Real Monday post. She wants to see a real day at your house.

Laundry on the line...

Washing walls with my new favorite cleaner...Fabuloso. It's gentle on the hands, tough on dirt, and smells wonderful!

Why do floors get dirty so fast?

Verne and Mac mowed the yard.

A wonderful time of worship and celebration of the Lord's Supper...

followed by a Sunday meal of fresh fruit,

(Be glad that YOU aren't buying our groceries! My crew polished off two cantaloupes, and four pounds of strawberries in a sitting!)

a pan of lasagna,

and homemade iced-tea.

Of course we had cookies for dessert; chocolate chip and oatmeal scotchies. Mmmm..

And then I got to relax and spent a little time on a small quilting project.

I hope that all of you had a wonderful weekend!

I sure do love seeing clothes on the line. And I have not heard of Fabuloso. I am wanting to simplify my cleaning supplies. Barb at Chelsea Morning is a pro on that so I was going to check with her. But this stuff sounds good.

Oh, how did you get your Tracy name to appear so lovely on the bottom of your posts? I would love to do that. Do tell!

Becky,
See the post titled "TEST" below. Read the comments to see how to make your name. Blessings~ Tracy

Hi Tracy,
I've not tried Fabuloso, either. Where did you find it?
I love the smell of fresh laundry from outdoors!
It looks like you all had a wonderful day with all that yummy-looking food!
Blessings,
Karen

Karen,
Fabuloso is made by the Colgate-palmolive company. I'm a fan of most of their products. This has a lavender scent. I found it at super walmart in with the Pine-sol, Lysol, Spic and Span, etc.

Those floors DO get dirty quickly, don't they? :) They were spotless only two days ago... and now they look as though I haven't cleaned for a year!

Wish I could have some of your cookies :)

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend.
I love hanging clothes out on the line too. I love that fresh smell.
I like your fresh fruit. I will have to share a fruit salad recipe with you that I used at Derek's 1st communion. I will post it on my site soon.
Thanks for sharing all the photos with us.

What a beautiful setting you live in. I'm glad I will never have to feed adolescent boys! (I have three girls)

Lovely day. I recognize your face from over at Kelli's. Your picture of your clothes hanging on the line is my favorite! I just posted about a NEW clothesline that I just got and am so excited about.

It looks like you had a nice weekend. Have an equally nice week! :)

Oh, lovely! I love being able to get a lot done on a weekend!

I'll look into that Fabuloso - I've never actually washed my walls - but just dust them with a floor mop thingamajig! Do you use it on painted walls? Thanks for answering my pesty questions!! ;)

Hi Tracy,
I loved reading about your day. My clothes are drying on my line as I type this. It's about 95ยบ here in CA today.
Your meals look wonderful and healthy. :)

It sounds like you had a great weekend. The clothes on the line are so pretty. I want a clothesline in the worst way, but we are not supposed to have them in our neighborhood.

Also, can I come to supper at your house? It was funny to me that your family ate so much. It sounds like my house. When all the kids and all of their friends are here, I'm lucky if I have anything left in my fridge, pantry or freezer!

Have a great week!

Leigh Ann,

Yes, I do use the fabuloso on painted walls. It's very gentle. I know that alot of folks like Murphy's Oil Soap, but I don't. Several reasons. First, the smell make me nauseous. I really feel sick when I smell it at all. Second, I think it feels a little sticky. The Fabuloso requires no rinsing at all, and leaves no residue. I bought a big new bottle today! PS, I don't mind questions at all!

Gena,
Sure you can come eat here! Let me know when you'll arrive and I'll start supper! (0;

Sounds like a wonderful weekend, those cantaloupes and strawberries have my mouth watering, I love fresh fruit, especially in the spring and summer months.

I didn't realize the was a bottle of cleaner! I thought the Fabuloso was juice!

Thanks Tracy. I remember my mom having us use Murphy's to do the woodwork - and I didn't like the smell at all either! But I remember it fading some of the paint - so that is why I've never done it. Thanks again!

I'm late getting around to checking out everyone's 'one day' posts from yesterday. I love the picture of the clothes on the line and the lasagna looks so cheesy and yummy! :)
