Intimacy

Try as we might to get to sleep early some evenings, we lay in the dark, side by side, holding hands, and talking. Sleepy, but not willing to let go of this beautiful shared time together. Just the two of us. And God. Remembering the past, planning for the future. Discussing children, finances, our walks with God. Praying together; heads touching, hands clasped. Giggles, and goodnights.

Two nights ago, Matt and I retired to bed because we were tired, but started talking. Matt got up a little while later and when he came back, he said , "Hm. We have been talking for TWO HOURS!"

I laid in bed this morning thinking about how we always hold each other and wake up with arms wrapped around each other, and I was going to make a post about it...but why bother? The sweetness of this post says it all! :-)

My favorite time of the day is in the morning when my hubby rolls over and holds me before I must get up to shower. I love that time of peace, quiet, and warmth!

Blessed sweetness. :o)

Actually, I thought of last night at the Hardt's haus... poor C's thighs will never be the same after I stuck my frozen fish feet on them. *snort. We had a good laugh once he got over the shock.

:o)
