Home Improvement

Have you ever read the book, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie? We've been busy as bees around here this past week, and one thing leads to another. It all started Saturday when our dining room window was torn out, and replaced by a sliding glass door.

This means that the room needs painted now. Oh yeah, and I can officially spring clean. I was waiting for the big mess to be over. No sense in having to do things twice, right?

The door project left Verne with work to do as well. He needs to replace the vinyl siding on the back of the house, and he's building a deck.

He also planted six trees this past weekend.

Collin and I have spread 46 bags of mulch over the course of two days. We've moved flowers around, and planted a few new ones.

The flower beds look very happy for all of our work,

and we've been sleeping well!

BEAUTIFUL!
WE want to do the same thing - replace a window in our living room with french doors out to our yard. Not this year, though.

The French doors are wonderful and the landscaping looks beautiful.

You're all so hard at work that you'll be glad when the new deck is finished and you can relax and read a favourite book :o)

The dress looks great too - I've never done french seams, but it really took it down another size?
