Sandwich Supper

Is your garden producing bushels of ripe red tomatoes right about now? This is the perfect time to make BLT's for supper. If you don't have a garden, head to the local farm market and buy some tomatoes and then make the sandwich anyway. You won't regret it. Trust me.

You probably won't believe this, but I've never eaten a BLT in my life until tonight. Seriously. I don't know what I was afraid of, but I think I have a new favorite sandwich. As long as it's tomato season. I can't stand the grocery store variety.

Tracy, I can't believe you've never had a BLT. Aren't they just the best? It's one of my very favorite sandwiches and I haven't had one in ages!

Wow! I cannot believe that you have not had a BLT either. I am excited to have you join the ranks of BLT lovers everywhere!!! It is most definitely my favorite sandwich -- although I must state that my selection of sandwiches regularly eaten is ... well, none! :)

You have not lived until you've had a BLT. :) That is, in fact, what we had for supper last night -- along with fresh sweet corn. Summer food bliss.

I can't believe you have never had one! They are favorite! Thanks for the reminder to make one while the tomatoes are good!

Hey, I looked up the guys you mentioned and, yes, they do look a lot like our guys! Too funny!

WOW! First time eating a BLT??? I grew up on those lol. We also had what they call back home "mater" sandwiches....it is just mayo and tomatoes on bread.

That sandwich looks good! :)

What? No BLTs? But they are DELICIOUS! I am glad that you have seen the errors of your ways and can now have a happy, BLT-filled future!

Oh I love BLT's - when Tomatoes are in season! Nothing like local tomatoes or homegrown!

Mmmmm, I think I will add it to my menu for next week! We also like to add Cooper Sharp Cheese to our BLT's:-)

I agree with Bev...Just a "mater" is good enough for me! Cut off the very top and very bottom add bun and mayo and take a big bite!

BLT's are a regular at our house. Only, I don't like tomatoes, so I eat mine without one.

Maybe it's because I've only ever had the grocery store variety! ;)

Your BLT's look scrumptious!
