Christmas?

The tree is up and decorated, and the stockings are hung, but somehow I'm lacking Christmas spirit. Perhaps it's because we celebrate 6 birthdays between October and December 11th. Who can focus on Christmas when they're knee deep in birthday cake? There was a time when I could, but I find my attention can only focus on one thing at a time these days.

Tomorrow I go to the big city. Perhaps the Christmas decorations there coupled with the chilly weather will help.

Our oldest son's birthday is November 30th. I'm like you...I can't focus on Christmas until birthdays are over. :)

I sure hope you get that Christmassy spirit soon.
Hey simmer some orange peels and cinnamon on the stove and watch It's a Wonderful Life, that's sure to work!

Wow, that's alot of birthdays, I bet you can't wait for them to be over, in a good way of course!

I think having little children keeps the spirit of Christmas in our house - it is so much fun. The birthdays (we have 2 this month) do add a little more "stress" to the month.

I hope that the Christmas spirit finds you today!!!

We don't have any birthdays going on but it's been hard to get in the Christmas mood this year.

What if you put on your favorite Christmas cd? Or make some gingerbread cookies? You're such a talented baker, I bet you make all sorts of wonderful Christmas treats. The smell might do it!

While you're in the city, stop by one of the coffee shops and get yourself a nice cup of coffee with a peppermint flavor. Something is bound to get you in the spirit!

I hope you find a little Christmas Spirit in the Big City. I understand how you feel, I've been waiting for Christmas since late October (I never got the Autumn Spirit this year) and now I'm just lacking it. I hope a good Advent cleaning and some decorations will help; that's this weekends project :)

Wishing you Christmas Spirit,
~Kate

I completely understand not having the Christmas spirit. I was planning my wedding (December 21st 2008) last year so I really didn't have anything Christmas on my mind! But I made up for it, I have double Christmas spirit this year so maybe you will get it hard next December :)
