Five hours...

of watching this:

Which I loved, by the way! (Thank you for the birthday gift, Sherri! The girls and I finally got to have our girls' night in!)

and keeping my hands busy, equals this:

It's one large granny square. So far it measures 22 inches square.
ETA: The granny WILL turn into an afghan!

Beautiful yarn color (and pretty pattern)! Brittany received Gaskell's Wives and Daughters for Christmas. We're going to have a girly night to watch it - I just love those precious mother-daughter times!

And thank you for your sweet anniversary wishes! :o) Hope all is going well with you and yours.

I've never viewed Cranford but need to, I know. So glad you and the girls enjoyed your time. :o)

That granny square is impressive! Gorgeous color. Are you making an afghan?

Tracy,

I hadn't heard of that PBS special before but your recommendation is enough for me to keep my eyes open for it :o)

I love the colour of your huge granny square and the yarn looks so *silky/soft* when I click on the photo!

Blessings!

I loved this movie too-if you haven't seen them yet, Wives and Daughters and North and South *(not the civil war drama) are also very good. All three were written by Elizabeth Gaskell.
That's quite the granny square-what do you plan to do with it?

I own Wives and Daughters and really enjoy watching it. And I've heard so many great things about Cranford that I guess I'm going to have to get this movie too! (o:

I love that Granny Square and especially the color. It will make a beautiful afghan when its finished.

I have never seen that movie but will keep my eye out for it. I like good wholesome movies like Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea. If the one you are talking about is anything like Anne, I know I will love it.
