Gallagher

Autumn picked up her guide dog puppy today.

She got to pick his name. He's a male standard poodle, and his name is Gallagher, which means "eager helper".

He's very gentle, and doesn't chase the cats or Daisy.

He has the most adorable deep brown eyes, and a white goatee.

He doesn't yet realize that Daisy can't see.

He'll get lots of practice leading the blind!

No way!! How cute can a puppy be! He looks so adorable. I love his goatee... and what a great name for him.

I really think this is the Lord too, for Autumn. Gallagher will bring such a lot of sunshine into her heart and life. He has a very special look about him. I am biased as I am dog crazy, but still, I know a special one when I see it ;)

How old is he? He doesn't look real small for a puppy??

Great name!! It is apparent that consideration was given to the choice. A worthy cause in which to devote her energy. God bless her for looking outward!

Love the name. He's a very handsome puppy; Daisy looks like such a dainty lady next to him. Imagine the two side-by-side when he's full grown! I bet your precious girl will have a lot of fun training him.

By the way, I think Collin must look more like Mac every day. Sometimes I have to look twice to tell them apart!

I echo Jodi's comments about Collin. I often get mixed-up now, about which one is which, lol.

12 weeks? Wow, he will get to be quite big then. There is a poodle down the road from us, that looks very similiar to Gallagher, only fully grown. Until a few years ago, I was of the full impression that poodles were the small type dog, as it was all I had seen. These were obviously miniature poodles.
