Keeping Busy

In the past week I've:

visited the farmer's market three times,
baked and decorated two cakes,
made 19 half pints of strawberry jam,
frozen two gallons of strawberries,
welcomed Mac back home from college,
cooked many meals,
taken the children to piano lessons,
picked 12 baby chickens up at the post office and become a "chicken mama",
planted several gardens,
mulched the flower beds,
weeded,
and done load after load of laundry.

What have you been up to?

In the past 12 days we have celebrated two birthdays, Mother's Day, did 3 days at our homeschool convention (one day was helping to set up), grocery shopped, went to a Mother/Daughter tea, hosted a baby shower tea at my home, took Emily for allergy testing, and finished school (for the state) for the year!

I like your strawberry jam work and freezing - a few weeks yet for that here, but that will be added to my work soon! Yum!

We are hoping to get our garden in today, but it keeps raining...we may have to do it is spurts, or just dodge those rain drops!

You have been busy with the best work of all!

I had a birthday! Thank you for wishing me well! Add to your list yard saling and you will have my list. Minus the baby chicks-though we ARE considering it. :-) Congratulations Chickie-mama!

WHEW...i'm tired just reading your list! I have a daughter 6 months pregnant...and a momma to sweet Emerson at 15 months...I've been doing A LOT of babysitting lately and realizing why God doesn't usually give us babies at 52! (and by the way...loving it every minute of it)

I'm envious of your clotheslines. My HOA doesn't allow them. Nothing is better than going to sleep on sheets fresh from the line.

Wow, I am just amazed at all that you are accomplishing.

I am sure I must be doing something...but seems other than learning to cook Ethiopian food for my new daughter...3 meals a day (well and making enough for all of us...that is 10 if you are counting) cooking and cleaning the kitchen are a major part of my day, sigh. But I am learning, with the help of my sweet new daughter...how to cook Injera like a pro ;-)

thanks for encouraging me with your list.

I love your photography...its really beautiful.

We've been busy here, too. Many meals cooked, birthday's celebrated, housework done here and there, working, studying, attending my son's school camp...lots and lots of fun, satisfying and productive busyness!
