Rising Bread by the Fire

The house gets a bit chilly this time of year, making it difficult to get my bread to rise. Today I set up a small table near the fireplace and set my loaves to rise there. It did the trick!

Beautiful!

My cinnamon rolls had trouble rising today...sadly I don't have a fireplace, but may need to think about the woodstove downstairs.
Hmmmm....

Hi Mrs. K, thank you for your encouraging comments lately! I love hearing from you and Autumn and think about your family often. This is a good idea, though it doesn't quite get that cold here!
love,
Cait

That sounds lovely -- to let your bread rise by a fire! Here, we have our cold days, too. But, if anything messes with how well my yeast does, it's the humidity.
