Happy Thanksgiving!

Cornucopia by Jenkins

I spent the day working in the kitchen. Four pies were baked. Actually five. Collin and Abigail baked Mac and me a low carb pumpkin pie. Wasn't that nice of them?

I made a pineapple cranberry sauce. It's so good. Truly! Even if you don't like cranberry sauce, you might like this.

Grandma Schilling's picnic buns. She had to taste one to be sure that they met her specifications. (She always says this!) ;0) Guess what? She loved them, hot from the oven!

I also cubed bread for stuffing, and cut onions and celery. Collin cut vegetables so that I don't have to do it tomorrow. Abigail baked banana bread all by herself! And then we had supper. Papa John's pizza on paper plates with paper napkins. I was too busy to cook! Verne offered to do the dishes. Isn't he sweet? Okay, so it was just paper plates, and throw-away napkins, but he still offered!

But, there was homemade dessert- leftover pie crust spread with raspberry jam, rolled and baked at 375 for 15 minutes. I also glazed them. They were a hit!

I pray that each of you has a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. May the Lord bless each of you abundantly, and may you remember each and every day Him who loves you and provides for your needs and gives to you lavishly.

Oooo...are you going to post your recipe for your cranberry sauce? I make one similar (I think), but yours looks great.

I read somewhere that the Weds. before Thanksgiving is the busiest pizza ordering day of the year. Makes sense to me!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I can't believe how many people had pizza the night before Thanksgiving! It must be one of their busiest nights.
