Dogwood
These warm spring days have been wonderful for the young ones who wish to be outside. Collin and Abigail have had adventure after adventure all day long, from the time they finish their schoolwork until it's time for supper. Playing basketball, bird watching, picking flowers, and setting land mines. Yes, land mines. It's become a favorite activity. They tie string between two objects, so low to the ground that they are barely noticeable. Last night, Verne went outside around 1 AM to see why the dog was barking. When he came back he was laughing because he'd tripped a trigger!

At least he was laughing!
My kids have been outside as much as possible, too! They don't even care if it is warm or not as long as it isn't raining!
I love dogwoods...ours aren't blooming yet...our spring has been cold, and late.
I love the blossoms! Sounds like a good time to me. :-)
Those dogwoods are beautiful! Please DON'T share exactly how to make those mines - I can't handle any broken bones right now.
Are you feeling better since your fall? I certainly hope so. And I hope Jon's tooth/gum is all healed.
Have a wonderful week.
With nostalgic fondness I remember our days of schooling, playing, creating, discovering, and simply being. Wonderfully full days, so dear to this mama's heart. Thank you for helping me to remember the sweetness.
Beautiful picture of dogwood blossoms.
