Idle Hands are the Devil's Playground

Have you ever heard that before? Maybe that's why I like to be busy. Whether it's sewing, crocheting, scrapbooking, cooking, making soap, cleaning, reading, or any other activity, I'd rather be busy than just sitting.

I love that my children like to be busy as well. Abigail loves painting. Autumn loves stamping, or crocheting, or knitting. Collin loves to be playing outdoors. Mac almost always has a guitar in his hands.

I love to see my children creating. After all, aren't we created in out Maker's image?

Living out here makes for idle hands AND minds, one of the reasons I can't wait to get out of here.

People keep telling me that I'll be back to live here again; that I'm just having my "Dorothy Complex" and will return one day because there is "no place like home." I keep saying that I AM going home~to VA. Actually, every time someone tells me that I pray: "Oh, Lord, if I EVER think that I want to return here to live, please slap me upside the head and remind me why I left!"

Happy New Year Tracy!

This is one of the habits that I need to cultivate this year. I have been spending WAY to much time on the computer or just puttering around not getting anything done!

Wow, your girl is talented!

We spend a ton of time making things here too. Aubry loves to craft and the boys like to do Legos and paint with acrylics. Sometimes the mess drives me crazy, but I know it is better than being bored!

Hi! I saw a comment of yours on another blog and had to visit because we share the same name!

What your daughter is painting is beautiful! Wow!

...and my washer has that feature too, but I never thought of actually using it!

Abigail's painting is amazing! What an artist!

I love being busy too. This past week being sick and laying on the couch has just about driven me CRAZY!
